I’m a huge Andy Cohen fan. For those who don’t know, Andy Cohen is a Bravo producer and the genius behind the (glorious) television franchise The Real Housewives. He is the host and executive producer of Watch What Happens Live – a late-night talk show where Andy and guests discuss pop culture and, of course, all things Bravo. Andy is the first late night talk show host who is also openly gay. Andy has his own Sirius XM channel, Radio Andy, as well as a Watch What Happens Live podcast. He has risen through the ranks to the top of the entertainment industry after beginning his career as a an intern for CBS News in the 90s. Andy has also written several books, his most recent being Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries. This book follows the same format as his previous book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year, in which Andy chronicles his life through a series of diary entries.

Superficial follows Andy’s life from September 2014 until May 2016. Andy dishes on his life and spares no detail. He is open, honest, and funny. Andy spills his (hilarious, and sometimes cringe worthy) interactions with celebrities as he bring us into his world of lavish vacations and late nights on set. As you read more about Andy’s star-studded life, you feel like you are also in the Hamptons, lunching with Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, and the Fallons.

Andy is also very introspective as he reflects on his goals and accomplishments within his personal life. He gives intimate insights into his feelings about being a gay man in 2016, and growing up in St. Louis, Missouri in the 70s at a time when being gay was not openly accepted. Superficial is a glimpse into Andy’s life and the perfect summer read.

Wine Pairing: Whispering Angel Rosé

What better wine to pair with Superficial than Andy’s favorite, Whispering Angel Rosé? Whispering Angel is a French wine and it’s dry and crisp. It’s the perfect drink for those hot and lazy summer days. You can find it at your local grocery store for about $25 depending on where you live.

So pour some refreshing rosé, and step into Andy’s world of celebrities, yachts, and his super cute rescue dog, Wacha.

(If you can’t get enough Andy Cohen, he also wrote Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture.)
