My Trader Joe’s skincare line

So, I love Trader Joe’s; I love browsing the aisles, tasting free samples, and finding new foods (and wines!) to try. One of their hidden gems, though, is definitely Trader Joe’s skin care. I’d always just kind of used whatever skin care stuff I could find, usually at CVS or similar stores. I love trying new stuff, but I wanted to find a skincare routine that I could stick with and I never really found anything that I either a. really loved or b. wasn’t super expensive. Enter Trader Joe’s. Awesome products that work and aren’t too expensive. They are all also cruelty free, which is another must for me.

tjs serum Nourish Antioxidant Facial Serum $9.99 The serum was the first skin care product I’ve tried from Trader Joe’s. When I saw it, I couldn’t believe how much you were getting for the price! All the serums I’d tried in the past were good, but they were also always super expensive. I figured even if this wasn’t the best, at least it was a good deal. (See? Saving money here…) When I actually tried it, I was blown away. It is so silky smooth and feels so luxurious and light. I was so amazed that it was this good, so I started taking Trader Joe’s skin products more seriously.

tjs rose water Rose Water Facial Toner $3.99 After sampling some rose water from Petit Vour (and loving it) I wanted to bring rose water into my regular routine, so I was excited when I saw Trader Joe’s had it. I use it as a toner and spray it on after I wash my face. You can also spray some on a cotton ball and wipe it on your face. It’s super refreshing and hydrating, and smells so good! It has witch hazel in it, which I really like and helps sooth my skin. You can also tuck it in your purse for a “pick me up” throughout the day.

tjs moisturizer Nourish Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer $5.99 I’m not super picky about my moisturizers, I just want something that will moisturize without being too greasy. This is another product that I think is great for the price. It doesn’t go on greasy, it smells really clean, and  it leaves a light, moisturized feeling. I use it at night and it lasts a long time. I will say that in the winter, or if you have really dry skin, you might want to switch to something a bit thicker.

tjs spf Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion $3.99 I’m allll about sun protection. I never leave the house without having some type of SPF on my face. So I grabbed some of this to use in the morning. It’s light, not greasy, and I wear it under my makeup. I like that it has SPF 15, but wish it was a bit higher. I also sometimes throw it in my purse to use as a hand lotion throughout the day (can’t forget SPF for your hands!) since it’s really hard to find hand lotion with an SPF.

Not only is it important to find skin care products that you like and that work for your skin, but the order you put them on your face also matters. Make sure you’re doing what’s right for you and your skin for best results.
